Pomegranite Melomel?

I found some bottles of pure pomegranite juice at the local grocery. I love pomegranites, and sure enough I loved the pure juice as well.

It gave me an idea to maybe try a pomegranite melomel. Anyone ever heard of such a thing? I should maybe do some research and googling on the subject.

Trivia – do you know that the word pomegranite comes from the expression, apple with many seeds?

    Hi Ian,

I made pomegrante wine a couple of years ago, the hard way. Peeled and crushed about 10 of those suckers. The wine turned out pretty good but I only got about 3 bottles out of 10 pomegrantes. Hope your experiment turns out.

    Ian,

I have made pomegranite melomel with bottled 100% pom juice, as you are considering doing. It turned out nicely, and I’m considering a larger batch. Do watch your pH level and adjust accordingly.

PS: I would never have the patience to use the whole fruit, as your other respondant did! Very fiddly fruit, pomegranite…
