Fermenting Dairy

Fermenting isn't just for grapes and other fruits and juices; it's for dairy, and even vegetables. Our grandmothers and great-grandmothers would often ferment vegetables in a salt brine in order to preserve food - and it is one of the safest known preservation methods and has been used for centuries.

I like to make cheeses, yogurt, and other fermented dairy products, so here are a few of my articles on this subject.
